Jury Selection preparation worksheet

Question a prospective juror who has a bias they will not volunteer. Draw it out with open questions, lock it in for a cause challenge, or decide to use a strike. Prepare your first attempt using the same skills your practice scorecard evaluates: Open questions, Finding the bias, Locking it in, Judgment.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose one real situation. Write accurate facts and your intended outcome; leave uncertain details marked for review.
  2. Draft short responses in your own voice. You are preparing to communicate, so write what you would actually say rather than a perfect script to memorize.
  3. Rehearse one skill at a time: Ask open questions about potential bias; Follow up on the juror’s actual answer; Make your reasoning clear.
  4. Download your notes. Then use a live roleplay to test the response under follow-up questions and review the feedback on the words you used.

What to look for when you rehearse

After each attempt, review one useful moment and one missed opportunity. Use your scorecard’s quoted words to choose a specific change. A score is feedback on the practice sample, not a prediction of success outside the simulation.

Your first complete coaching report is free once. A free account keeps your plan, answers, and downloadable personal notes. Any round pack adds full coaching on every report; $4.99 once gives you 100 rounds across all areas.
